La Manga Club Resort is one of the venues that was nominated in the ‘Best Golf Resort in the World’ category at the Telegraph Media Group's 2015 UltraTravel Awards. Thus La Manga Club is the only destination in continental Europe to be shortlisted.
Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, Fairmont St Andrews and the Gleneagles Hotel, host of last year’s Ryder Cup and the eventual winners, were the other venues to receive acclaim at the awards. This was the second year running that La Manga Club has been shortlisted.
La Manga Club should not be sad. Last year they were named as Spain’s top golf hotel at the 2014 World Golf Awards and were voted as the best golf resort in Spain by readers of Today’s Golfer for the fourth year in a row. This shows me that professional opinion can be different from customers.
