What are the changes in the new Cameron & Crown putters?

By: June 2, 2017

If you remember, less than a year ago on September 2016, Scotty Cameron/Titleist launched the Cameron & Crown putters. One of the innovations or changes in the Cameron & Crown putters was that they are crafted at 33 inches and specifically weighted for the player whose setup demands a shorter putter.

So I asked myself when I read the latest news about the Cameron & Crown putter “2.0” what could they add within 9 months that can enchant golfers.

These are the new features in the Cameron & Crown putter “2.0”:

  1. Popular head styles from Scotty’s tour-proven Select and Futura putter families – Select Newport, Select Mallet 1, Futura 5MB and Futura 6M – providing modern blade, mid-mallet, and high-MOI mallet options.
  2. A raw stainless steel finish with a unique Silver Mist treatment creates a radiant, yet glare resistant, appearance. (I like it!)
  3. Smaller diameter gray Matador grips. The intention was to give more performance and feel.

If you are already playing with the previous (=2016) Cameron & Crown putter, then I do not see any justifiable reason to “upgrade” to the “2.0 version”.

Cameron & Crown putters are available through Titleist authorized golf shops beginning June 16 (North America) and July 21 (worldwide). U.S. MSRP: $410. MAP $379
