How Sergio Garcia found himself on the tree?

When I was learning for my PAT exam, I came across with really funny rules about unplayable golf balls for special cases like golf ball stuck very high in the foliage of a tree. I thought I will never ever have to use them in the future, because they are for very special events. 

But this month 2 leading PGA players had to manage their golf balls from top of a tree where their ball stuck. The first was Tiger Woods, whose tee shot sailed into a palm tree at the WGC-Cadillac Championship.
