Blackstone Country Club gets a new general manager

Scott Heideman has been named general manager of Blackstone Country Club (18-hole, par-72 golf course designed by Jim Engh; managed by Troon Privé) at Vistancia. Scott Heideman is a true Troon "veteran". He spent the past 25 years in golf operations and management at Troon. He is a 21-year Class A member of The PGA of America and Troon Golf certified instructor.

Here are some of the highlights of his career:

  • Began his career at Troon North Golf Club as head professional and director of golf;
  • In 1997, he opened the Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale as the general manager/area managing director of the upscale 36-hole facility, overseeing golf operations, food and beverage and agronomy staff.
  • served as general manager/operations and transitions for Troon’s corporate management team and served as the interim general manager of six golf courses managed by Troon Golf.
