How can disabled golfers overcome their weaknesses?

By: November 25, 2015

I always feel touched when I hear about how disabled people are trying to overcome their weakness and manage a normal life. This is why I think, it is important to show positive moments end examples like the 2nd European Disabled Golf Association (EDGA) Algarve Open, that was held at Pestana Vila Sol (for the 2nd time).

The event is part of Algarve Tourism Association (ATA) has just launched the ‘golf4all‘ campaign. This year, nearly 50 golfers from 13 countries participated in the tournament. Manuel de Los Santos won the 2nd European Disabled Golf Association Algarve Open.

My only question to golf club managers is: What are you doing to help the disabled golfer to feel comfortable and welcomed in your golf club?

I can only welcome the decision of The PGA to enable disabled golfers (who meet the revised golf handicap requirement and work in golf) to enroll in the PGA’s 3-year training program from 2016.
