What makes Zala Spings Golf Resort unique and different from other Hungarian and CEE golf courses?
The design of the golf course, this is a Robert Trent Jones II signature golf course. Robert Trent Jones II is one of the most renowned golf course architects in the world and this creates a lot of interest and becomes a must to play golf course on many golfers list.
Who will enjoy the most Zala Springs?
The Zala Springs Golf Resort is a resort golf course as reflected by the name. The course can be enjoyed by all levels of golfers from the beginners to the professional golfer. A great designer by the design and the strategically placed tees, bunkers and undulations of the course allows provides a fair challenge and a course that all golfers can enjoy.
What kind of services do you offer at Zala Springs Resort?
At the Zala Springs Golf Resort, we offer all the services that would be expected at an international golf facility. We have the championship golf course with first class practice facilities including a large grass and covered practice area. We have a large short game area with a large putting green next to the clubhouse and first tee.
We have new club cars for our guests and members to use and trolleys for those who would like to walk. Our teaching professionals provide golf instruction for all levels from the beginner to the more advanced player.
We provide our members and guests with a modern first class purpose built the clubhouse with full restaurant and bar facilities, changing rooms and shower facilities and for company events, weddings we provide the upper level of the clubhouse.
We recently received our new rental clubs from Callaway to make sure our guests get the best quality equipment if they need to hire. We have a well-stocked golf shop with major international golf brands and a lot of logo products for visitors wishing to have a memento from their stay with us.
How can golfers combine golf and leisure or business at Zala Springs Resort?
We have to over a kind of lifestyle for our members, guests or later for homeowners at the Zala Springs Golf Resort. We have to utilize the possibilities in the vicinity of the golf course, this would include Heviz, Lake Balaton. For guests staying more than 3 nights, it would be our aim to include these programs to give a little break from the golf and to see another side to this part of Hungary.
How would you describe the conditioning of the greens and the fairways?
The golf course opened its 18 holes of Championship golf last September, it is a young new golf course but already we have received great reviews on its condition. Even now we are considered to be one of the best-conditioned golf courses in Eastern Europe and certainly the best conditioned, manicured golf course in Hungary.
We are very lucky to have one of the best green keepers in Europe onboard with us who has great experience in all areas of turf grass management. He is up to date and using state of the art technology to speed up mother nature.
Can you tell us more about how Robert Trent Jones II designed this golf course?
Robert Trent Jones II is one of the greatest golf course designers of modern times. His designs are aesthetically pleasing to the eye with undulating fairways well-placed bunkers that give the shape and definition to each hole. He plays with the golfers mind trying to temp him into decisions where only a perfect shot will succeed, he tries to change your perception of the hole through his design.
He designs very fair golf course that provides the right level of challenge for all level of golfers and puts a smile on all the golfers faces in the 19th hole.
How will you attract local and international golfers to play at Zala Springs Golf Resort?
This will be done with a very strong media campaign through social media and other media channels that we have access to. We will use our networks and personal connections in the golf industry to develop partnerships and cooperation with golf clubs, associations and all travel related companies.
We have been accepted in to the World of Leading Golf and this will put us in contact with golf facilities throughout Europe that strive to be the on the world stage. We have to develop the Zala Springs brand over the next few years using the RTJII brand together.
